About Me:
Hi, my name is Noah. I’m a Computer Science student with a passion for making video games. Some of my interests are Fencing, Cooking, Food, and Board Games. Please feel free to check out the games published here. And I hope you enjoy the games.
My Projects:
To the right are some of the projects I have worked on. Some I worked on alone, while others I worked with a team. But for all of them, I was a programmer and helped develop the game.
My Recommendations:
A game about an evil thief stealing from another villain, with an interesting mechanic shown at the end of the game!
(made in Unity) (made with C#) (4 month project) (my role: programmer) (team size: 5)
- Programmed moving platforms, as well as the ability for the player to freeze moving platforms or guards in place, that was used in many levels throughout the game
- Created a cheat code system that allows the player to input a cheat code at any time in a level and see its effects immediately, which made testing the game easier and gave players another system to enjoy as they play the game
- Designed the third level of the game and created the game mechanics used in the third level
2. Virus
You play the role of a user of a computer (I guess that one you don’t need to role-play) who has just installed a virus on your computer. Now you must explore your computer to try to find and delete that virus before it steals all of your passwords!
(made in Unity) (made with C#) (1 week project) (my role: programmer, everything else)
- Programmed a player movement script with gameplay polish, like jump buffering and coyote time
- Created an enemy script and game object with the ability to tweak its values to create two types of enemies
- Developed two power-ups that can affect the level geometry to encourage the player to return to previous locations and allow them to explore these locations further
A game about a crab with the power to move the moon! Use your power to make it to the sandcastle at the end of every level.
(made in Godot) (game jam game) (48 hour project) (my role: programmer, musician)
- Programmed the player movement script and added easily customizable variables to allow other members of the team the ability to tweak the player’s movement and create a movement that feels good for the player
- Updated some levels when they were placed in the game to ensure that they functioned as designed
